Outback Jack - Episode 2
After the drama of the prior elimination ceremony, eight women remain to compete for Jack's heart. As the group gets smaller, there are more chances for Jack to bond with the girls...and more conflict between the contestants.
As the episode begins, there's pandemonium as the ladies attempt to reach the next campsite by boat. The girls can coordinate an outfit, but not their canoes. While journeying down the river, several of the boats capsize. Jack is forced to dive into the raging rapids and rescue a few of the ladies. Once again, Marissa plays damsel in distress, as she floats down the river helplessly. But Jack is on the job, making sure all of the women reach their destination safely. (

Despite the difficulties, the girls have to admit that they are enjoying themselves. Spider webs, whitewater rapids, and crossing a river with crocodiles may soon change their minds.
The next day, Jack takes the ladies to his friend Sharon's farm. After a little girl talk, the contestants feel that they can easily get into the mind of the Outback man. After all, he's still a guy, right? While going for a hike that afternoon, the confident contestants run into JD. He tells them that four of them will have the opportunity to have dinner with Jack that evening. The other four, however, will have the joy of preparing the meal. The trick is that the girls must catch their dinner--delicious Australian fish called Barramundi--with their bare hands. Whoever catches the most fish gets to choose three other girls to have dinner with her and Jack. The winner also gets some alone time with him. Before they begin, jack shows the girls the best way to catch fish. Apparently, very few of them are listening.
As the fishing contest begins, the girls begin to show their competitive sides. They splash around frantically, clutching at the slippery fish. Marissa is doing everything possible to win, including throwing elbows, but Adrienne takes home the prize with three fish in her basket. She chooses Cortney, Natalie, and Shannon to attend her dinner with Jack. Harmonie, Maria, Mary, and Marissa must cook the fish for their romantic meal. (

Jack and the four girls have a fantastic dinner and really get to know each other better. Adrienne's one-on-one time with Jack is the high point of the evening--literally, as they sit up in a tree and talk. The two really seem to click, and share the first kiss of the series. (

After the date is over and all of the contestants have returned to the campsite, JD arrives to say that two girls will be eliminated the following morning. Once again, all of the ladies sit down with Jack, one by one, and plead their case for why they should stay. Marissa, however, isn't content with her limited alone time with Jack. She feels that she needs another chance to connect. After the girls are asleep, Marissa sneaks over to Jack's tent and asks him to take a walk with her. The romantic nighttime stroll soon turns passionate as Jack and Marissa share an intimate moment, away from the prying eyes of the other contestants. (

The following morning, the girls gather for another elimination. The choices have gotten even more difficult, and Jack sheds a tear as he decides to send Harmonie and Shannon home. The remaining six girls begin the trek to their new campsite, knowing that the competition is only beginning... (
